COLEMAN, Frances Louise age 87, of Naperville, Illinois and Frankfort, Michigan passed on November, 16, 2021. Mrs Coleman was born July 4, 1934 in Rochelle, Illinois the only child to the late Henry B. and Fannie Louise Johnson Pierce. She was a gifted musician involved with music education and music ministry. She played violin with the Fox Valley Orchestra, accompanied vocal soloists, taught piano and played for weddings and services as well as with the choirs at Central and North High Schools. At Wesley United Methodist Church, in Naperville, she was organist and accompanist for over 30 years celebrating the word of God. She worked with her husband DeVerne Coleman and the Chancel Choir as well as leading youth and children’s choirs. She attended University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana and Wheaton College earning a Bachelor Degree in Music Education in November, 1978.

She is survived by her son Mark Coleman, daughter-in-law Barbara Stanford of Grand Rapids, Michigan, son-in-law Sean McCormick of Palm Springs, California and grandchildren Miles Pierce and Jia Cecilia Coleman. She was preceded in death by her son Kent Steele Coleman and her husband DeVerne to whom she was married for 68 years.
