Life Story / Obituary
Evelyn Mae (DeVree) Knott, age 101, of Walker, MI was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Preceded in death by husband Henry Jr., son Donald Jay, grandson Kevin Joseph Knott, great- granddaughter Taylor JoAnn Szymas, brother Edward P. DeVree, and all brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of her Knott family.
Those who will remember, give thanks, and celebrate her life – children: Bob and Barb Veeneman, Tim and Kathy Lynn Knott, Jack and Laurie Collins, daughter-in-law Kathy Beth Knott. grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jon and Laurie Shellenbarger (Wyatt and Jory Szymas), Nick and Jessica Knott (Hudson, Ava, and Carter), Jon and Carrie Knott (Samantha and Jackson), Michael and Jacquie Knott (Maverick, Fletcher, and Gibson), Kyle and Rachael McClellan (Alayna and Elsie), Bryan and Amy Knott (Westin and Silas), Joshua and Jodie Knott (Oscar, Henry, Howie, Lewis, and HarvieMae). Her dear DeVree family: sister-of-heart Belva, wonderful, caring nieces and nephews: Mike and Sallie DeVree, Mark and Sue Gazan, Gary and Amy VanDyken, and their children. The loving nephews and nieces of her Knott family. Ev’s friends: so many, many friends, the shared enrichment of each others lives was so appreciated and treasured. All who knew her will miss her wisdom, optimism, hospitality, and humor.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11 AM at Walker United Reformed Church, 1941 Randall Ave NW. Family and friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 3-6 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW and on Wednesday at the church beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Vriesland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Hospice.
A child of the One True Living God, Evelyn Mae (DeVree) Knott was gifted to us, to be an example of Christ’s love on 03/03/1923, and rewarded with eternal life on 11/09/2024. - Victory in Jesus.
