Eugene (Gene) Klein passed away at the age of 96 April 27, 2022. Eugene was born in the winter of 1925 to Edward and Valeria Klein, in Conklin, Michigan. Gene grew up in the Grand Rapids area and worked for many years as a meat processor specifically smoking ham.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 72 years Rosemary Klein. Eugene is also survived by his three brothers Howard, Peter, and Edward. Eugene and Rosemary were blessed with an abundance of love and support by their children Suzanne (John) Ruiz, Judy (Ben) Graham, Gene (Sue) Klein, Paul (Debbie) Klein, Elaine (Jim) Brecker, Andy (Christine) Klein, Amy Coffey, Melissa (Tony) Parker. Eugene is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.

Eugene was a dedicated member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at 11:00am. Family and friends are welcome to visit starting at 10:00 am at St. Anthony church. Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary cemetery. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Allendale Nursing facility as they provided great care for Eugene over his four years of living there.
