Doris Leonene Lambert (Willard) born September 12, 1920 in Grand Rapids, MI went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 20, 2022. Preceded in death by her mother Clara Hankinson (willard), father Luther Melvin Willard, husband Roy Leroy Lambert, son Roger Lambert, granddaughter Janelle Marie DeRoos, brother Kenneth Willard, sister Donna VanZytveld (Willard) and brother in law Arthur VanZytveld. She Graduated from Union High School in Grand Rapids, MI; where she met her best friend, and love of her life Roy Leroy Lambert. She was a devoted student loving music and being a Majorette. Doris and Roy married on April 5, 1941; being the most amazing, kind and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved supporting our Veterans; as her husband Roy served in WWII and son Roger served in Vietnam. She loved knitting, sewing, cooking, and overall spending time with her loved ones. She spent many years devoting her time of serving the Lord by means of Sunday School Teacher, Pianist and Editor for Trinity Tidings; while at Trinity Congregational Church being a lifelong member. She absolutely loved animals; all while growing up as a daughter of a dairy farmer. After Roy completed his time of serving our country during WWII, he completed schooling, and then began his business of Lambert Refrigeration. Doris helped run and manage the business; all while raising three children. When Roy passed away, Doris began working at Lincoln Lanes Country Club as a Nursery Worker. Then a few years later, began working for her son Roger, who owned and operated Lambert TV and Appliance in Coopersville, MI. She continued working until ninety two years of age; during which point and time, she had gone through major heart surgery; involving a valve core replacement. Survived by her Son Jerry Lambert, Daughter Joni (Lambert) and Dave DeRoos, daughter in law Sandy Lambert, Sister in law Joan Willard, grandchildren Michelle Newman (Lambert), Jamie Raymond (Hitchings), Nicole ( Lambert) and Ben Morrison, Jeff and Becky (Brower) DeRoos, Ryan Lambert, Jeremy and Katie (Vande Bunte) DeRoos, Steve Lambert, Jacob DeRoos, Jillian DeRoos, Chris DeRoos and Javier DeRoos. Great grandchildren Genna DeRoos, Olivia Raymond, Joel DeRoos, Parker Newman, Landen DeRoos, Cora DeRoos, Ella Morrison, Jordan DeRoos and Jett DeRoos and one of her dearest friends Ruth Roth. Doris was known for her witty sense of humor; which she would have contributed to the years of Ponds Cold Cream for her skin and life long love of Hershey's Kisses. On behalf of Doris’s family, we would like to thank Porter Hills Village and Emmanuel Hospice for their tender and loving care. Doris loved supporting the Wounded Warrior Project, and one of her wishes was contributions made to this amazing cause.
