Don DeWeese

Donald R. DeWeese, age 92 of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Don was born in Grand Haven, MI in the summer of 1929 to the late Dexter and Emma DeWeese.

Along with his parents, Don is preceded in death by his first wife Helen as well as by his brother Robert.

Don is survived by his wife Janet [Poelman] and children Donette (Thomas) Mcpoyle, Barbara (John) Madenford, Mark DeWeese and Carlos (Claudia) DeWeese as well as by step-children Norman (Gina) Schalk, Allen (Nancy) Schalk, Luann (Robert) Russell and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Don was a true servant of his Lord and Savior and demonstrated this by 62 years of dedicated missionary service in the country of Brazil.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Van Strien Creston Chapel, (1833 Plainfield Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI 49505). Friends may visit with Don’s family prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
