Dewey Tjalsma

Mr. Dewey Tjalsma, aged 87, of Wyoming passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 18, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, grandson, Kirk Emery and brother, Bob Tjalsma. Surviving are his sons, Richard (Linda) Tjalsma, James Emery, Jerry (Pat) Emery; daughter-in-law Marilyn Emery; grandchildren, Karen (David) Smith, Marcia (Bill) Westveer, Kathleen Stephens, Lori (Mark) Wells, Lisa (Bob) Hetrick, Daniel Emery, Stacy (Brian) Burton, Casey (VaNia) Tjalsma, Anthony Gutierrez, Chad (Kristine) Gutierrez, Matthew (Samantha) Shields; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Pat) Tjalsma; sister, Lois VanEssen; sister-in-law, Kay Tjalsma. Dewey was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps and was retired from the City of Wyoming. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Wyoming), 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. The family will meet relatives and friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
