Newaygo) Mr. Delbert Leon Gilley, Sr., age 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at his home, with his family at his side, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jennie; his children, Jerome Krzykwa, Kathy and Larry Guild, Karen LaBaar, Karen and Chuck Hill, Delbert Gilley, Jr., and Michelle and Flint McCullough. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Virginia and Fred McGraph, Nancy and Burt Harris, Luther H. and Anita Gilley, Jr., Carolyn and Howard Pennington; several nieces and nephews. "Larry" was well known by many wonderful and valued friends as the great fisherman of Croton. He loved the river and spent most of his free time there. The service for Mr. Gilley will be Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Newaygo, with Pastor Patricia Bromberek officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Croton. Those desiring an expression of sympathy may consider Hospice of Michigan.
