Life Story / Obituary
David Richard Bullock passed from this life and went to join his savior, Jesus Christ, on June 13, 2026 at 80 years of age. David was a man of strong faith and was baptized at an early age, David was a dedicated lifelong Mason and a member of the Redford Metropolitan Lodge #152. He was born on November 28, 1945, in Noetown, KY, to his parents Harold and Beulah. He spent his first ten years in Oak Ridge, TN and relocated with his family to Los Alamos, NM where he graduated from school, married, and was blessed with three sons. Darrell, Rick and Tim were loved and cared for by him and extended family. They grew up in the Detroit MI area where Dave became a US Postal Service employee. They moved to the Grand Rapids area in 1983. Where he met Cindy Alexander who was also a postal employee and they married in 1987. He continued living in GR and retired from the postal service in 2003 after 38 yrs. Cindy eventually retired also and they moved to East TN. After 17 yrs they relocated in Sun City West, AZ in early May. David had heart surgeries and other health issues he succumbed to them after five weeks. He passed peacefully at the Banner University Hospital in Phoenix, AZ with his wife by his side.
David was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Beulah; his sons, Tim and Rick; his sister, Patsy Baker; and his brother, Jim Bullock.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cindy; his son, Darrell; his stepdaughter, Rhonda Pierce; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral Service will be 12 Noon, Wednesday June 24, 2026 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - Alt and Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW. The family will receive friends 11 AM until the start of the funeral. David will be laid to rest at Rosedale Memorial Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan
