Cris Lowell

Cris D. Lowell age 77, of Grand Rapids passed away on January 2, 2026.Cris has been a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids MI. He attended Central High School and quickly joined the United States Marines. Following his service to his county Cris began working as a spindle carver and sander following in his father’s footsteps. Cris also dabbled in the field of tool and dye for many years. Cris is preceded in death by his mother Thelma Akerman, as well as his father and step mother Frank and Trudy Lowell. He is survived by his son Christopher Lowell, his siblings Diane Barry, Theodore Lowell, Cynthia (Randy) Anes; as well as many step brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews Friends and relatives may meet with his family on Friday January 9, 2026 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW from 1:00 to 2:00.
