Cornelius "Neal" Boluyt

Cornelius “Neal” Boluyt, age 87 of Ada, passed away on September 8, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; their sons and daughters-in-law Michael & Jodi, Neil, John & Conni, Robert & Karen, Eric & Aimee; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His sisters Betty (Paul) Kooyer, Joan Mast, Esther Dykstra; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Clazina Rus, Kathy Rozeboom, Gerrit (Marie) Rozeboom, Hank Rozeboom, Tony (Susan) Rozeboom, Gertrude Rozeboom; and many nieces and nephews who affectionally called him “Uncle Pork”.

Neal was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin, James, William and David Boluyt; and by sisters Madelyn Spaans, Bernadine Swinger, Wilhelmina Lindemulder, Marie Boluyt, Jean Reminga, Cornelia Rus and Katherine Kuzniak.

Neal worked for the Kent County Road Commission for 43 ½ years. He had a great appreciation for the outdoors: whether working, hunting, fishing or simply enjoying time with family and friends.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11 AM at Heritage Reformed Congregation, 540 Crescent Street NE. Friends are invited to visit with his family on Monday from 6-8 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Van Strien Creston Chapel and on Tuesday at church beginning at 10 AM.
