Life Story / Obituary
Mr. Clyde Adams, age 91, of Pensacola, FL, and formerly of Greenville, passed away on January 25, 2007, in Pensacola, FL. Clyde was the former owner of Adams Real estate in Six Lakes. There were ten siblings in his family and since the age of 15, he was on his own. He worked at various jobs including picking fruit and vegetables. After saving his money, he moved to Greenville and began working as an oil driller. At this time he had a chance occasion to meet Hugh Hefner. Then he purchased the Hardy Adams Hotel and was also involved in real estate. He became the first fast food owner in Greenville, and later the one in Belding and also owned a laundry mat, a soft serve ice cream place in Greenville, and Clifford Lake Market. Quite an entrepreneur, Clyde had a visionary and could look at a piece of property and know its fortune. He taught his wife, Judith the practicality of real estate. They would drive around looking for property for sale by owner, and then he would call them for a listing. He often remarked how very happy he was with his life. He is survived by his wife, Judith Adams; children, Robert Adams, Connie and Gerald Sage, Debra and Timothy Rogers, Sherry and Edward Bailey, Brian Moulter, Jason Brent and Kelly Moulter, Marshall Brandon Moulter, Barrett Landon and Rejena Moulter, Michelle Renae Brown, and Angela Rachelle Visser and fiance, Michael Olmstead; many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters and brother, Gertrude, Juanita, Frances, Dwight, and Evelyn; mother-in-law, Mrs. Nellemay Peterson; brother-in-law, Ronald Earl and Barbara Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.
