Christian George Dinkel

(Alpine Twp.) Christian George "Bud" Dinkel, aged 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at his home. He was born on May 15, 1915 to Amanda and Henry Dinkel of Conklin. He was a dairy and fruit farmer until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents Amanda and Henry Dinkel; brother, Winston Dinkel. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Loretta (Vogel) Dinkel; daughter, Nancy Beggin of Honolulu, HI; son, Jack and Ferol Dinkel of Comstock Park; daughter, Joyce Strasser of Marquette; grandchildren, Lucas Strasser of Charleston, SC, Amanda and Jacqueline Dinkel of Comstock Park; sisters, Coral Hondorp of Grand Rapids, Arlene Craig of Vero Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Julie Schneider-Thomas officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Alpine Township. Friends may meet the family at the Church on Wednesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Zion Lutheran Church of Comstock Park.
