Carole Blum, age 81 of Grand Rapids, passed away December 30, 2022. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Oswald “Fred” and Margaret (Fischer) Blum. She is survived by her sister, Janyce (Don) Cass; nephews Darrell (Marilyn) Cass and Dwayne (Donna) Cass; as well as grand nieces and nephews. Carole graduated from Union High School and then Kendall College. Anyone who knew Carole knew of her determined mindset. Over the course of three summers, she learned to ride a motorcycle. She enjoyed a variety of clubs and activities, including the Women’s City Club, and enjoyed travel adventures across the world.
Friends are invited to visit with her family on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Avenue NE. Her memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11 AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 100 Packard Ave SE. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
