Carole Bessie Faulhaber

Carole Bessie Faulhaber, age 81, was released into the waiting arms of Jesus on December 16th, 2006. She will be spending Christmas in Heaven with her parents, former husband, Roland, who passed on December 16, 2000 and two sons who passed in 1956 and 1980. She was born on October 5, 1925, in LaPort, Indiana to Emerson and Frieda Shockley. She lived in Taylor, Michigan 35 years until becoming a resident at Medilodge Care Facility of Monroe. Carole's favorite pass time was watching old time movies. She often recalled her youth as a chorus line dancer in New York. Carole tried to be the best mother she could be. She passed knowing she was loved by her family, and that "the 'kids' would be ok." Nine of her eleven children survive: Nancy Raines of West Michigan, Robert Longstaff in Kansas, Jim Faulhaber in Ohio, Deborah Faulhaber in Alabama, Roland Faulhaber, Gary Faulhaber, Richard Faulhaber, David Faulhaber and Diane Norris all of East Michigan. Carole was proud of her 14 grandchildren: Marsha, Laura and Virginia; Brian and Nicholas; Christopher, Lauren, Grace, Kate and Nichole; Doug, Jimmy and Kimberly; little David.
