William “Bill” Henry Sweetnam II, age 88, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in the company of his family.
He was born in Three Rivers, Michigan in the summer of 1937 to the late John and Phyllis Sweetnam.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy Helen [Purzecki] and their three children Anna (Mac) Wardrop, Christina (Ron) Braselton and William M. (Shannon) Sweetnam as well as by grandchildren Lily, Scarlett, Daniel, Jackson, Luke (Gabriella), Grace, Vincent, William H. III, Foster and Owen.
He was a veteran of the United State Air Force Reserves and was a proud graduate of Michigan State University.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11 AM at Basilica of St Adalbert, (654 Davis Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). Bill will be laid to rest near family in Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
