Bernice R. Peterson, [Johnson], aged 95, of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI in the spring of 1929 to the late Bror and Rena Johnson.
Along with her parents, Bernice is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ralph Peterson who died 2017 as well as by their daughter Suzanne Koster.
She is survived by their son Jim (Cherie) Peterson of Ammon, ID and her grandchildren, Shelly (Geoff) Carlson, & Melissa (Shawn) White and Erika Peterson (Chris Irvine) as well as by her six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and even more great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Bernice had been an active member at First Evangelical Covenant Church in Grand Rapids.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Bernice will be laid to rest next to Ralph and Suzanne in Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery during a forthcoming private family graveside service.
