LEWITT, Benjamin E.
Grand Rapids, MI
Age 70, passed away unexpectedly March 10, 2019 at his home. Ben was born July 2, 1948 in Grand Rapids to Ben and Stella (Vis) Lewitt. He was preceded in death by his father. Ben was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had a unique zest for life, and collected guitars and cars. Ben is survived by his mother, Stella Lewitt; sons, Benjamin Lewitt IV of Wyoming, Jesse Lewitt of Belding, Daniel (Sharin) Lewitt of Alanson; girlfriend, Gloria DeHaan; and ex wife, Elfrieda Lewitt. Also surviving are his aunts, Shirley Gieb, Alice Vis, Thelma Vis; niece, Amy Rector; and nephew, Matthew Buchholz. Friends may visit with family on Sunday, March 17 from 2-4 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 1833 Plainfield Ave. NE where military honors will be held at 4 PM. Interment will be in Fairplains Cemetery.
