Barbara McGrew Serafin

Barbara McGrew Serafin of Ada, passed away at home, Wednesday, February 15, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Born on June 30, 1942 in Kansas City, MO, to George Maher McGrew and Elizabeth Jane Aycock McGrew, she graduated from Pembroke Hill School and attended Centenary College (N.J). Most of her adult life was spent in Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids as a dedicated spouse and mother. She enjoyed many varied interests during her lifetime, including a great love of gardening. Surviving are her husband, Elliott Serafin of Ada; daughter, Karen Weidenfeller; son, Christopher Bell, and four grandchildren, Drew, Lauren, Justin and Remy. Also surviving are sisters, Suzanne (Walter) Collins of Stilwell KS, and Gayle (Joseph) Vawter of Fairway, KS. Private family services have been held and burial has taken place in Findlay Cemetery.
