Arthur G. Schmidt

Mr. Arthur G. Schmidt of Grand Rapids, age 80, passed away on January 16, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Sophie Schmidt; step-mother, Elizabeth Schmidt; and sister-in-law, Katie Schmidt. Art is survived by his wife, Emily; son, Joshua and Nicole Schmidt; grandchildren, Taylor and Remy; and brother, Fred Schmidt. Art served in the US Navy and worked for General Motors for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage and on his boat cruising Spring Lake and Lake Michigan. No formal services are planned.
