Alton C. Mick of Clarksville passed away December 2, 2006. Al was born to Lewis and Anna Mick. He married Phyllis Yeiter on June 20th, 1942 in Bay City, Texas where he was stationed in the Army before being sent to the Europen-African-Middle Eastern Campaign. Alton is survived by his children, Ron Mick of Sand Lake, Steve L.(Barbara) Mick of Lake Tahoe, NV, Joan (Dennis G.) Bowen of Saranac, Philip Mick of Clarksville; grandchildren, Tami (Steven J.) Reeves, Dennis A. (Dianna) Bowen, Lisa (Tim) Sitzer, Alton L. Mick, Steven J. Mick; great-grandsons, Steven S. Reeves, Alec Sitzer; brother, Lewis Mick of Clarksville; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vern and Elaine Warnes of Ionia, Elizabeth Wittenbach and Betty Yeiter of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews. Al was a member of the Jackson-Mutschler VFW Post 4461 of Lake Odessa, Clarksville Lions Club, Boston Township Board of trustee for over 15 years, plus several dairy and farm committees. He farmed the family farm for over 75 years. Preceding him in death is his loving wife of 61 years, Phyllis; brothers, Wilbur and Burton Mick; sisters, Letha Thorpe, Jewel Schaede, Rachel Condon, Vera and Verga Mick. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 7, at the Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell. Rev. Mark Lipscomb officiating from the West Berlin Wesleyan Church of Lake Odessa. Visitation will be Wednesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Clarksville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund for the West Berlin Wesleyan Church, 5110 W. Portland Rd., Lake Odessa, MI 48849 or the Jackson-Mutschler VFW Post 4461 of Lake Odessa.
