Wallace "Wally" Versluis Sr.

VERSLUIS – Mr. Wallace “Wally” Matthew Versluis age 84, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 8, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Versluis; grandson, Tyler James Pruitt, son-in-law, Jim Pruitt; brother, Sheldon Versluis; and brother-in-law, Bill Holman. Wallace is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn (DeGraaf); children, Wallace M. Versluis Jr, Heidi L. Pruitt and Jon P. (Kelly) Versluis; grandchildren, Alexander Pruitt, Elizabeth Pruitt, Cameron (Valerie) Versluis, Chandler (Rachel) Versluis, Celine (Michael) Modert; Collin (Adrianne) Versluis, Chayil Versluis, Cara Versluis, Ceana Versluis, and Christa Versluis; and great-grandchild, Elias. Also surviving are his siblings, James (Loretta) Versluis and Patricia Holman; several brothers and sisters in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Wallace served in the Navy and was a skilled brick mason for 41 years. He was a 60 year member of his church, serving as a deacon and elder. The funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Walker United Reformed Church, 1941 Randall Ave NW Grand Rapids, with visitation at 11 AM.
