age 84, died November 29, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky. Toby was predeceased by her beloved parents, Louis and Louise Sherman Weiner as well as her sister Erna Woodward. Surviving are her beloved children, Naomi (Patrick) Dolinka of Louisville, Kentucky, Benjamin (Jenn) Dolinka of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and Tamara (Joe) Pophal of Pepper Pike, Ohio; their father, Marvin Dolinka; her grandchildren, Rose Louisa, Claire Barbara, Sarah Ann, and Charles Louis Pophal and Shayna Rebekah Goodman. Also surviving are her brother Aron M. Weiner of East Lansing, Michigan, brother-in-law Donald Woodward of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces Julie (Gary) Gross and Karen (Keith) Garcia and nephew Daniel Woodward; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Toby was concerned about many issues, especially environmental problems, recycling, reproductive rights, and the continuity of Jewish culture and tradition.

Toby was a life-long member of Congregation Ahavas Israel, past-president of Ahavas Israel Sisterhood, live member of Jewish Women International, past-board member of Jewish Theatre, long time member of Shir Shalom Chorus, and Hadassah.

She held a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.A. from Western Michigan University. Teaching was her profession and she enjoyed working with her students at Davenport University Career Center.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 2nd, at Greenwood Cemetary.

Contributions may be sent to the Louis and Louise Weiner Endowment of the Grand Rapids Jewish Federation, Congregation Ahavas Israel, West Michigan Environmental Action Council, or to a charity of one's choice.
