Thomas McGee

Thomas P. McGee passed into heaven on the 11th of May at the age of 94. He was born to Francis and Ethel McGee, attended Creston High School, and was a lifelong resident of the Northeast side of Grand Rapids. Tom was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Alphonsus Church, a proud Army veteran, an automobile enthusiast, but above all, he was a dedicated family man. Tom was married to the love of his life, Frances, for 68 years. Together they had 7 children, 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Tom is survived by his children Jane Blind (John), Terry McGee (Mary), Brian McGee (Terese), Joan McGee (Tim), Patrick McGee (Debbie), Erika Kaufhold (Fernando), and Roger Zeh (Kathy). He was proceeded to heaven by his beloved wife Fran and their daughters Mimi Zeh and Sheila McGee. Tom was a true gentleman and blessing to all who knew him; he will always be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 3 at 11 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 224 Carrier Street NE. Friends may visit with family beginning at 10 AM. Memorials may be made to St. Aphonsus Church.
