Suzanne Marie Charon, age 69 passed away March 10, 2021 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald Charon and their children Lisa Charon, John Charon, Laura and Christopher Grossman.

Sue retired with over 25 years of service from a rewarding career with the Grand Rapids Public Schools working as a paraprofessional until her retirement in 2016.

The most important things to Sue were her family, friends and grand puppies. She was described by those she knew as the glue the held everyone together and for always putting others before herself. She was there to listen and share her positive outlook on life no matter how difficult things could seem.

Sue loved flowers and working in the garden. She was a longtime volunteer in the Gardening Angels and served as Vice President. Sue could also be seen enjoying the outdoors, Kayaking, fishing, traveling and walking with her friends.

She grew up as a member of the Sacred Hart Catholic Parish where she got married to her husband of 47 years before joining the Holy Spirit Parish. She was a person of strong faith worked every day to demonstrated and incorporated it throughout her life.

According to her wish’s cremation will take place and a Mass will be held, March 23rd, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Parish of the Holy Spirit. (2230 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504) Sue will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery.
