On Friday April 26th, 2019, Susan Eva McGuire, age 58 went to be with her Savior after a long battle with breast cancer. Susan was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and wife. She was born on June 26th, 1960 in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario to Lynda Torok. On May 6th 1995, Susan and Bob McGuire were married. They enjoyed 23 years of marriage together. Susan and Bob raised 5 children Andrew, Brad, Scott, Nick, and Joe. Susan was a wonderful grandmother to Olivia, Sophia, Alexis, Caiden and Emerson who she spent as much time with as possible. Susan’s gift and passion in life was young children. She worked many years at Godfrey Lee Public Schools and decided to open her own childcare business, Little Faces - Big smiles. Susan’s passion was to teach the young children basic life skills, arts and crafts, trips to the zoo. She was an avid garden whose’ home and yard were filled with flowers.

She had a beautiful, kind, and loving soul that shinned through her life and work. Susan is preceded in death by her step- father George Torok, brother Jimmy John McMahon; grandson’s Aiden and Carson Kooiker. She is survived by her husband Bob McGuire, three sons, Andrew (Lindsey), Brad (Jackie), Scott, and step sons, Joe and Nick (Sarah). Her grandchildren Olivia 12, Sophia 8, Alexis 5, Caiden 4, and Emerson. A celebration of life will be held on Friday May 3rd at Alpine Township Community Center 2015 7 Mile Road Alpine. Family will receive visitors between 6:00 -8:00pm. Causal attire requested. In lieu of flowers, family is asking for donations to be made to Beautiful You by Profile Salon, a favorite of Susan’s to visit during her treatment.
