BALL, Sherrill (Lindeman) Ball went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday morning, March 2 at the age of 73 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Dorothy (Jansma) Lindeman.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Norman and her three children, Sarah Teunissen, Rachael and Jason Kunnen, and Anthony and friend Melissa McCartney. She has three grandchildren, Kyle Teunissen, Isabelle and Charlotte Kunnen.

Sherrill was born in Grand Rapids, MI in 1948. She attended Oakdale and Millbrook Christian Schools and graduated in the inaugural class from East Christian High School. She then attended Calvin College, where she majored in music. After marriage to Norman Ball, she taught music for one year in California, then moved with her husband to Hudsonville to raise three children. When all three kids were in school, Sherrill returned to the classroom at Western Michigan University, earning a Masters degree in Psychology. As a psychologist, she had practices both in Holland and Grand Haven. After retiring, she spent lots of time with her grandchildren and pursued her hobby of quilting. Always giving of both her time and talents, she found happiness in sewing quilts for the Neo-Natal unit of Spectrum Health. She was also a twenty-year member of the alto section of the Calvin College Alumni Choir. Singing in this choir was one of her greatest joys, along with her children and grandchildren.

Per Sherrill’s wishes she will be cremated and a memorial visitation will be held in her honor, Tuesday, March 8, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive, NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
