Rosalie Burns

Rosalie Ann Burns, aged 81, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Irene Marie (Makarewicz) and Vito William Lomonico; In-laws Doris (Boberg) and Robert Burns; brothers and sisters-in-law Patricia and Dean Burdick, Linda Fields and Kathy Burrow. Surviving is her son Dale (Gloria) Burns of Greenville; beloved grandchildren Natalie and Nicholas Burns, both at home; former husband Robert James Burns of Greenville; brother-in-law Randy Fields of Fort Wayne, IN; nieces and nephews Keith (Paulette) Burdick of Kentwood, Debbie (Kevin) Byers of Pasco, Washington, Brenda (Vince) Smith of Hamilton, Kristin (Marvin) Chartrand of Fort Wayne, IN, and Michelle Hilbrands of Grand Rapids. Rosalie graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School, class of 1960. Rosalie worked at Terryberry, Hudson’s and the Grand Rapids Press. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with friends and especially her grandchildren. Natalie and Nicholas were the lights of her life in that she took them to the zoo, the circus, the playground, out to eat and their favorite was shopping together. Special thanks to the staff at Cedar Springs Green Acres, who lovingly cared for Rosalie the past several years. Cremation has taken place.
