Robert “Bob” Stephen Rice, age 85, of Rockford, passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on April, 22, 2022 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

He was born April 15, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Stephen and Anna (Kuhar) Rice.

Bob grew up in Hesperia, MI and graduated from Hesperia High School. As a young man, he enjoyed music and played the trombone in the famous Scottville Clown Band. During his professional career, he was a chemical sales representative at Amchem and various other companies until his retirement.

Throughout his life Bob was always busy with numerous projects. He especially enjoyed working on and collecting antique cars. He was also an avid collector of Civil War memorabilia.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 39 years, Priscilla “Anne” (Rison) Rice; his children, Patti (Robert) Williams, of Grand Rapids, Michael (Sherry) Rice, of Florida, David (Tricia) Rice, of Florida; his step-children, Deb Pranger, of Florida, Rene (Mark) Nelson, of Byron Center, Jeff (Tomas Garcia) Gorley, of Texas, Chris Gorley, of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Dan) Symons, Stacy (Chris) Vincent, Alexis (James Evans) Rice, Shannon Pranger, Greg Coblentz, Ryan Nelson and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, David (Carol) Rice, of Grand Rapids, MI.

Bob was proceeded in death by his brother, Cyril Timsak.

Burial will be at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI.
