Raymond "Norm" Toebes

Age 92, entered the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on September 2, 2018 at the Christian Rest Home. Norm was born November 14, 1925 to the late George & Gezina (Huiskamp) Toebes. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Beatrice; son, Robert Toebes; grandson, Nathan Small; brothers, William and Fred Toebes; sisters-in-law, Helen VanderVelde, Bertie VanderVelde and Verna Crapo; brother-in-law, Marvin VanderVelde. Norm is survived by his children, Shirley (Richard) Small, Maribeth Paige, Dan (Phyllis) Toebes, Judy (James) Sterling, James (Christy) Toebes, Patti Riccardo; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sena Toebes; and brother-in-law, Roger VanderVelde. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. Friends may visit with family at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 and Friday beginning at noon. Interment will be in Washington Park.
