Nancee Lorene Totoraitis (1953 - 2025)

Nancee Lorene Totoraitis (72) of Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2025. She will be forever missed by her loving children Jody (Chad) Lemmen and Michael (Jessica) Buth and her grandchildren Morgan and Carson Lemmen, Claire and Lillian Buth, her brother Greg Hardin & family, and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nancee was preceded in death by her husband (Michael Morgan) and her brothers (Doug Hardin & Theodore Totoraitis Jr).

Nancee was born in Grand Rapids to Ted and Orpha Totoraitis in 1953 and resided in rural Ottawa County throughout her life. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who adored spending time with family and friends. Nancee loved to surround herself with her cats and dogs and her love of animals was a reflection of the kind of person she was: loving, kind, and compassionate. She was a dedicated mother to Jody and Mike, spending their younger years at home with them and then later beginning a successful career working in various roles in the Tool & Die industry in Grand Rapids. Nancee lived life to the fullest. She was never afraid to speak her mind and frequently did so (whether or not you wanted to hear it). She was direct and opinionated, never shying away from saying what she was really thinking. She will be remembered for being authentic and genuine and always staying true to herself. Nancee had many hobbies. She was an accomplished winning go-kart racer who ran with the boys, and won. She also loved riding motorcycles, a passion she picked up from her dad and brothers. She was full on the throttle, and gave many boys a bad day at the track or on the trails. She owned horses at various times in her life and loved riding along the Grand River & Sand Creek on the family property in Tallmadge Township. Later in her life she found a love for cultivating a vibrant garden oasis in her backyard. She adored her children and grandchildren and created countless memories with them. We will forever wish we could have had more time with her.

Nancee’s family invites all who knew her to gather for a time of refreshments and visiting on Saturday March 29, 2025 from 11am to 1:30 pm. A brief prayer and time of sharing will be held during the last half hour, starting at 1:00 pm for those who wish to participate. These events will be held at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Alt and Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW, 49504.

In Nancee’s memory, donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society of West Michigan or to Hospice.
