Mary Coblentz of Holland Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with her loving daughter Amy by her side. Mary has gone by the name of Stephanie since she was a child. Stephanie was raised in Charleston West Virginia by the late Arthur and Ruth Crowley, who both proceeded in her death.

Stephanie spent many years teaching first grade and ran an in home day care. She also worked at D&W in their customer service and finished her working years at Pine Grove school in the food service.

Throughout her years at Pine Grove, she was actively involved in LOOP, which was an after school program for elementary and middle school students. She loved connecting with the children and building into their lives. She also volunteered for Faith Hospice by bringing weekly baked goods for the patients and families to enjoy.

During Amy’s youth Stephanie became the ballet mom for the dancers at Summerfest and the Grand Rapids Ballet Company. She planned parties, hosted dancers at her house and sewed costumes for their performances. She became everyone’s ballet mom. It brought her so much joy to be connected with the company.

Stephanie was a huge Notre Dame football fan and would never miss watching a game. She was very involved in Princeton Christian Reformed Church attending Bible studies and small groups. She loved the activities and outings at Rest Haven, Maplewoods, and especially loved playing bingo and walking around their courtyard. Last summer, she took second in their walk a thon and walked for two hours.

Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Amy Nunamaker and her husband, Brian White. She passed away at Rest Haven Care Center from a difficult battle with progressive super nuclear palsy.

Stephanie’s family would like to thank the caring and loving staff of both Rest Haven and Faith hospice for their loving support of Stephanie.

A celebration of life service will take place in September.
