Martha LeBaron

Martha Marie (Bennett) LeBaron, age 87, passed away February 17, 2023 and is singing in Heaven praises to God. Preceding Martha’s death was her husband William and daughter Keri (LeBaron) Smith. Martha was born to William and Bertha Bennett of Grand Rapids and was one of 11 children. Martha was predeceased by her brothers: William Bennett, Robert Bennett, Marvin Bennett, Edward Bennett, Bernard Bennett, and Kenneth Bennett; her sisters: Helen Kingma, Mary Kingma, Eleanor McKey, and Ruth VanMalsen. She will be missed by her children William (Tracey) LeBaron, Karla (Owen) Marsman, and Karen (Michael) Stehouwer; and son-in-law, Jeff Smith. Her grandchildren: Brett (Jennifer) LeBaron, Melissa (Justin) Brotherton, Jamie (David) Post, Jeff (Andrea) Marsman, Joe (Amanda) Stehouwer, Katie Stehouwer (fiancé Royal), Stephanie (Nate) Buchanan, Kelsey Smith; and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers-in-law Willard Kingma and Ronald McKey; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr., NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Friends may visit with family beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Edison Christian Health Foundation.
