BAZEN, Marinus “Mart”

Grand Rapids, MI

Age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior September 30, 2020. Mart was born February 10, 1932 in Grand Rapids to the late Peter and Magdalena Bazen. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Ellen; siblings, Joanne VandenToorn, John, Richard and Rev. Peter Bazen. Surviving are his children, Robert (Debbie) Bazen, Mark Bazen, Susan Bazen; grandchildren, Jamie (Jason) Beeke, Brandi (Jim) Flikkema, Mark Bazen II, Taylor Bazen; great grandchildren, Alexander Beeke, Zachary Beeke, Jordan Beeke, and Kennedy Flikkema. Also surviving are his brother and sisters, James (Barb) Bazen, Marie Rosendall, Gertrude (Henry) Rosendall; brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to especially thank Mart's nurse, Cathy Beckett, who so lovingly and faithfully cared for him the past two years. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11 AM at Free Reformed Church, 950 Ball NE. Friends may visit with family at the church, Friday October 2 from 5-8 PM. Interment will be in Fairplains Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary. www.heritagelifestory.com
