Margo Johnson

Margo Lane Johnson, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 at her home in Wyoming, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Johnson, mother Juanita Johnson and her sister Arlene Reubusche.

Margo was born on February 4, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to LeRoy and Juanita Johnson. Margo lived and grew up in Grand Rapids and raised her daughter and best friend Michelle there too. She had a long work history, including a career working at the Grand Rapids Public Schools as a “time out coordinator.” She is being remembered as a hard-working, fiercely independent spirit, dedicated to her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Margo truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She loved gardening, traveling, fishing, walking and enjoying the outdoors. In her earlier years, she raced the family Mustang at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan. She was known to occasionally race up and down the streets of Grand Rapids too! She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Margo is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Sebastian) Martin, grandson, Vincent Martin, granddaughter, Siobhan (Michael) Johnson, great- grandchildren, Vincent Martin Jr., and Nevaeh Martin, two sisters, Sandra (Benjamin) Chandler, and Marjorie Burnell, nieces and nephews, Deborah Ferrell, Yvette Scott, Dirrick (Tonya) Ferrell, Wendall Ferrell, Todd Chandler, Todd Reubusche and a host of other family and friends.

Cremation has taken place and no other services are planned.
