Louis DeGennaro

Louis Vincent DeGennaro, aged 68, of Grand Rapids, MI died peacefully following a brief illness with his family by his side on Thursday, December 5, 2019. He was born in the summer of 1951 to Fred and Wanda [Tuttle] DeGennaro in Grand Rapids, MI. Louis was preceded in death by his father as well as by a brother Jim DeGennaro. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Holly Eve [Meulendyk], their two sons Peter and Michael, his mother Wanda and siblings Rita (Hank) Hughes, Fred (Joanne) DeGennaro, Bill (Dee) DeGennaro, Tom (Kristin) DeGennaro and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Louis had proudly served his country as a member of the the United States Marine Corps. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted and trusted husband, father, brother, son and friend to many and for his commitment and affection towards his pets, most recently his Black Lab “Penny”.
