Kevin Shores

Kevin Loren Shores, age 69, passed away July 5, 2026 and is now enjoying the freedom to run with renewed joy. Kevin was born June 28, 1957 in Monroe, MI to the late Leland and Cyonne Shores. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Bryce Shores. Kevin was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and retired after more than 30 years as an automotive engineer for Ford Motor Company. He had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, golf, and history. Kevin was a patriot and was delighted to celebrate our country’s 250th birthday. On June 4, 1994, Kevin married Brenda. His wife of 32 years survives, as do his son, Tim (Jya) Shores and his grandson Leland; and his daughter, Kaylin Shores. He is also survived by his brothers, Leigh (Mary) Shores, Rick (Mary) Shores, John (Cheryl) Shores; and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration Gathering will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 12-3 pm at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to National Trust for Historic Preservation.
