Joe Kruer

George Joseph Kruer “Joe”, age 38 of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on November 30, 2020. He was born in Grand Rapids in the Spring of 1982. Joe is survived by his son Cayden Joseph, daughter London Leigh Ellen, parents James “Jim” Kruer and Kathy Marie Shomaker, brother Aaron (Lindsay) Nauta, sister Samantha (Brian) Monahan as well as nieces and nephews Whalen, Raegan, Quinn and Brady. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Mary Suzanne Kruer and Jack and Mary Ellen Billin. Joe will be fondly remembered for his passion for music, Lake Michigan beaches and his artistic drawings. He was an avid sports fan, especially a fan of the University of Michigan athletics. Most importantly he will be remembered as a compassionate, adoring father to his two children and as kind, generous and giving friend. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December, at 11 AM at the Parish of the Holy Spirit (2230 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504).
