Jeannine Thomas

Jeannine Joy Thomas (Lapham) of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home and in the company of her family on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

She was born in Dearborn, MI on June 20, 1930 to the late Robert and Esther Lapham. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Thomas Jr. Jeannine is survived by her sister Sandra Lee Corney Brinkman. Also surviving are her step-children Amy (Gordon) King of Dripping Springs, Texas, Charles R. Thomas III of Scottsdale, Arizona and Diane Thomas Harpenau also of Scottsdale, Arizona as well as by her five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nephew Jeffrey R. and Sarah Corney, niece Melissa E. and Darrin Peterson and three grand nephews and two grand nieces.

Jeannine had enjoyed a long and prosperous career working for and eventually owning the Robert S. Lapham Insurance Agency in Dearborn, Michigan. She and others enjoyed their family cottage in Pinckney, Michigan. Jeannine will be fondly remembered as being an attentive, caring and kind wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and private services are forthcoming.
