Janice Versluis

Janice Kay (Koster) Versluis, 85, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 15, 2022. Janice spent her married life of 69 years with her husband, David, on the Versluis Orchards farm. She will be remembered for her kindnesses as a devoted farm wife, homemaker, mother and had many interests. She loved to paint, golf, cook, entertain, read bedtime and bible stories, sing, garden, keep a clean house, and be involved at church. She taught many Sunday school lessons and led after-school activities and reading programs in area schools. Janice is survived by her husband David; her children, David M. (Janis) Versluis, Steven (Julie) Versluis, Peter (Sandra) Versluis and Connie (David) Meekhof; her beloved grandchildren, David T. Versluis, Sarah (Andrew) DeYoung; Jennifer (Nick) Fortosis, Adam (Megan) Versluis, Thomas Versluis, Maria (Isaac) Sprik, Nick (Taryn) Meekhof, Jared (Tess) Versluis, and Laura (Mark) Bosscher; nine great-grand-children; sister Karen Diekema, along with many nieces and nephews. The service to remember and celebrate Janice’s life will be held on Monday, February 21 at 11 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW with visitation with her family from 10AM until 11 AM.
