Janice Sue Jansma went to be with her Lord on May 7,2024.

She was born to Eugene and Connie Doorn on April 24, 1959, the youngest of 5 children. She married the 46 year love of her life, Rick Jansma. She loved the Lord, her husband, her family and her dog Sophyia. She loved her flower garden, her birds, and music. She had strong beliefs about her deep faith, and politics, and shared those ideas freely.

Her childhood was spent at her beloved cottage on Diamond Lake, and her work at Andy Mast greenhouse added to her love and appreciation of nature. She spent time in the country on the farm throwing hay bales, oh what strength she had, and then later growing much of her own fresh food in Rick’s and her garden, which she loved. She loved all people and animals with a passion and was thoughtful, sweet, and kind to everyone.

She fought a hard health battle, was appreciative and grateful for all the people who provided the wonderful care that she received, and was finally able to rest in the arms of Jesus, peacefully, with her family at her side.

Jani was preceded in death by her father Eugene Doorn, her brother, Steven Doorn, and brother-in-law, Larry Jansma.

She is survived and will be terribly missed by her husband, Rick Jansma, mother, Connie Doorn Stephens (Jim), Siblings, Lynn (Bob) Raemer, Deb (Chris) Jackson, Kevin (Kathy)Doorn, step son, Levi (Rhiannon) Felicitti, sisters and brother in-laws, Lynda (Dale) Spitler, Lee (Robin) Jansma, Karen (Rich) Parrish, Tim (Betty) Jansma, Todd (Kathy) Jansma, grandchildren, Lucius and Lillith, and so many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
