Janet Bouwer

Janet Lee Bouwer passed into Glory on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the age of 89. Janet was extremely thankful for the many blessings God provided to her throughout her life. Those blessings were her husband James who passed away just weeks prior to her and especially her family that survive her; daughters Kathy Burggraaf, Mary Ellen and Rick Berthiaume, Sue and Marc Wibalda; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Janet was preceded in death by her son-in-law Bob Burggraaf. Family and friends may meet with Janet’s family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 11th at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Vanstrien-Creston Chapel, (1833 Plainfield Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505). Janet will be laid to rest next to James in Fairplains Cemetery. Janet's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Rest Haven Homes and Faith Hospice.
