Jacob DeKorne Jr

Jacob Cornelius DeKorne Jr, age 68 of Coopersville, passed away at his home on March 20, 2026. Jacob “Jay”, is survived by his wife, Kathie DeKorne; son, Jacob and special friend JoAnne Taylor; sister and brothers: Susan (Randy) Neuman, Timothy (Mary) DeKorne, Mark (Mandy) DeKorne, Daniel (Julie) DeKorne; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Agnes (Willard) DeBraber, Ruth (Jeffrey) Marshall, Jane (Michael) Klaasen, Donna (Arnold) VanVeldhuizen, Mary DeMeester, Daniel (Kathy) DeMeester, Cornelia (David) VanDyke; special uncle and aunt, Bud & Judy DeKorne, as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Phyllis DeKorne.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 10 AM at First Netherlands Reformed Congregation, 1261 Beckwith Ave NE. Friends are invited to visit with Jacob’s family on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either Plymouth Christian School or Care Home Capital Fund (First Netherlands Reformed Congregation).
