Helen Kowalewski

Helen Ann Kowalewski, age 95 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, January 20, 2024. Helen was born April 6, 1928 to Burt and Anna Firlik. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Kowalewski in 2017. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Dan (Lori) Kowalewski and Ted (Karen) Kowalewski. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren and families, Ren and Mike Brace (Lauren & Tara), Anna and Shaun Giller (Hailey & Ashley), Kevin and Katie Kowalewski (Claire & Emma), Kelsey and Dave Stockton (Sloane); sister, Virginia Williams; and many nieces and nephews. A private family funeral service has taken place and interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family would like to thank Sunrise Senior Living Center and Hospice of Holland – Keystone for the kindness and tender care that they have given Helen these past two months.
