Gloria Schutz

Gloria Kay Schutz, age 80 of Jenison, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 & went to be with the Lord. She will be lovingly remembered & treasured for her kindness and her Huge Heart of gold. She was a loving Wife, Sister, Mother, Grandma, Mother in law, Great Grandma, Aunt & Friend. All those who knew Gloria loved her as she would do anything for anyone. Her warmth & gentleness was infectious to everyone she met. She loved her family and treasured every moment with them. We know she was welcomed into heaven with a "BIG HUGE BEAR HUG" from her sons Todd & Scott which she greatly missed.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents: Laurence & Jennie Beebe; her 1st Husband Richard Witteveen; her sons; Richard Todd Witteveen & Scott Alan Witteveen; and her brothers-in-law Butch Johnson, Bill VanderPol and Herm Witteveen.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, James Schutz; Her Sister, Marilyn Johnson; her Grandkids, Morgan (Doug) Kleinjans; Taylor (Leah-fiance’) Witteveen; Rachael (Nate) Martens; Daughter-in-law, Brenda Witteveen; Great Grandkids, Trevor, Trenton & Kolton Martens; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law Pieter (Sue) Witteveen, Trudy VanderPol, Jeanie Wolverton, Jeanette (Eric) Fransen, and Nancy Naber; nieces & nephews: Marcy (Todd) Link, Austin, Erica, Lincoln, Brittani & Carter; Sandi (Ward) Behrens & Samantha; Larry (Pam) Johnson, Jennifer & Joe.

Please join us for a Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 12 PM at The Refuge Church (60 Port Sheldon St SW, Grandville, MI 49418) with Pastor Lew Vander Meer officiating. There will be a Luncheon & Fellowship following the service. Visitation will be 1 hour before service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Cremation has taken place at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home & burial will be held at a later date at Georgetown Township Cemetery.
