Gary Gosling

Gary A. Gosling age 75, of Grand Rapids Township, passed away peacefully while in the company of family on Monday November 27, 2023 at Allendale Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

He was born in February of 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Dwight and Edna [Hennin] Gosling.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a treasured daughter and son-in-law Rachael and Gary Dooley, brother Dwight Gosling and Mother and Father-in-law Rachael and Adrian Vander Stoep.

Gary is survived by his wife of 31 years, Jane [Vander Stoep] Gosling, two sons, Max (Soyoung) Gosling and Aaron (Erin) Gauger as well as by grandsons Owen and Liam and sister-in-law Patsy Gosling.

Gary was grateful to God for a life filled with family, travel, and opportunities to be of service to others. His small business involvement included White Creek Lumber and Hardware, Grand Rapids Stripping company, Grand Rapids Craftsman Company, Grand Rapids Distributing, and Mayco. He also worked in news at radio stations WLAV and WZZR, was active in the Grand Rapids Press Club, Heritage Hill Association, Silver Lake Country Club, The Highlands and coaching youth sports. His interests included landscaping, Tiger baseball, and Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity at Central Michigan University.

At his request cremation has taken place. His cremated remains will be scattered in the Spring of 2024 followed by an ice cream social, a family tradition.
