Frances Schwander

Frances C. Schwander, age 74 of Grand Rapids passed away Tuesday November 10, 2020. She is proceeded in death by her husband Robert, with whom she spent 35 years of marriage, her mother Charlotte and father Albert, and sisters, Julie Ann and Rose Mary. Frances was born on March 1, 1946 in New Jersey. She spent many years of her life as a cook at Sibley Elementary School, Grand rapids, and enjoyed baking treats for her children and family. Frances leaves behind 2 sons, Carl & his wife Katelyn, their children Sara, Chelsey, Kinsley, Carsten, and Colsen Schwander of Indiana and The family of Thomas Schwander and Grandaughter Autumn of Michigan. Other surivors include her 5 brothers; Albert (LuAnn) Eldridge, Thomas (Sheila) Eldridge, Harry (Shannon) Eldridge, Robert (Barb) Eldridge, Edward Edridge, as well as her sister Rita Gage, numerous neices and nephews, and many friends. She loved her family, always wore a smile, and enjoyed life. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. A private gathering of family and friends will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to facilitate end of life expenses in memory of Fran.
