Elaine Melpolder

Elaine Ann (Roedema) Melpolder, age 87 of Grand Rapids, was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Melpolder. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Ron (Laurie) Melpolder, daughters Sandy (Wally) Glaza and Sue (Randy) Zandstra; 7 grandchildren: Eric (Kelly) Melpolder, Jennifer (Tim) Corson, Michelle (Travis) Krentz, Rebecca (Brett) Johnson, Kristy (Rodney) Norman, Melissa (Preston) Peacock and Christopher (Savahanna) Zandstra; 13 great grandchildren, sister Barb (Paul) Bierens, and her sister-in-law Lorraine (Gerald) Crumback. Elaine ended her race on this world and was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Christ. Elaine was a very caring person who loved her family, friends, and even more loved Jesus. Elaine lived her life as a reflection of one of her favorite passages, Psalm 100. A service to remember Elaine’s life will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield Ave., N.E. Grand Rapids, MI 49505, at 11am. Family will visit with friends on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the funeral home from 2-4 pm, as well as one hour prior to the service.
