Dr. Eleanor Klinesteker

Dr. Eleanor Klinesteker, 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and blessings from friends and family on November 18. Daughter of a dental technician, Eleanor, graduated from Central High School in Grand Rapids and went on to get her doctorate of Chiropody from the Illinois College of Chiropody and Foot Surgery. While running a successful podiatrist office in Holland, she founded the Holland chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. She also served as the Secretary of the Michigan Podiatry Association. In 1972 she was named woman of the year by the ABWA. Eleanor had an adventurous spirit that took her to many countries. She enjoyed each, but often remarked on her Pilgrimage in Jerusalem as being her favorite. She loved to tell stories, had a quick wit about her and a wonderful sense of humor. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Justin and Christine Klinesteker. Memorial contributions can be made to Oakhill Church, 1930 Leonard Street NE, Grand Rapids MI. Services to be held at Oakhill Church yet to be announced.
