On Monday, June 28, 2021, Doris Ruth Krapp exchanged the loving embrace of her family for that of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Doris was born in Grand Rapids, MI in the summer of 1932 to the late John and Johanna DeGraaf. She had been a life-long and dedicated member of Walker United Reformed Church. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roger Wayne Krapp. A lifetime of love, now together forever. Doris is survived by her children, Jeff (Sue) Krupp, Todd (Frank) Krupp and Jean (Bill) Simaz; her grandchildren: Dylan and Annie Krupp, Ethan Krupp, Halsey Krupp, Christopher and Ariel Simaz, Olivia and Dan Durbin and a great-granddaughter to be. Also surviving are her siblings: Arloa DeGraaf, JoAnn Bremer, Mike (Lois) DeGraaf, Wallace (Evelyn) Versluis, Fred (Patricia) DeGraaf, Paul (Therese) DeGraaf and Shirley [Krapp] Idema as well as by many nieces and nephews. Visitation has been scheduled to take place on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:30 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, (2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). In honoring Doris’ wishes, she will be laid to rest next to Roger at a private graveside service.
