Constance E. Zurawski, 94, of Grand Rapids passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 25 at St. Mary's Hospital. She is survived by her son, Gregory A. Zurawski of Chicago, and daughter Karen J. Zurawski of Katy, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born in Grand Rapids on July 19, 1926, she was the second youngest of five children of Frances and Antoni Poselenzny. She and her husband, Ray, had four children. In addition to being a homemaker and mother, she worked as an administrator in the insurance field and with her condominium association. Using her artistic talents, she painted wall hangings and other wooden treasures and knitted afghans. She was an avid reader of mystery novels, loved bowling, and enjoyed playing the slots in Las Vegas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond V. Zurawski; daughter, Suzanne Riebschlager; son, Steven Zurawski; brothers, Ted Poselenzny and Raymond Poselenzny; and sisters, Ann Pelak and Marie Allen. A spring graveside service is planned at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery due to current COVID restrictions.
